[Summer 98][Fall 98][Fall 98][Winter 99]

iNET Omega League, Fall 1998 was our second season. The squads we competed against were much more competitive than the season before, and we lost a few of our best players to other activities. No Season totals for this season, due to corrupt logs and replayed matches.

[vs StarFire Elite][vs MiS][vs Elysium][vs (Kindred)][vs EGO][vs Requiem][vs Enterprize][vs Torrent (part 2)][vs Torrent (part 1)][vs Space Donkeys][vs No Limit Soldiers][Season Totals]

Match 10: BALLISTICS vs Starfire Elite, Sunday, December 13, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 12, Starfire Elite 4. Our slump ends here as we revert back to old aggressive gameplay we are so accustommed to. We started with a full turret which gave us a 2-0 lead, then the notorious iNET server spiked me and Van into spec mode and our turret ended. We then switched to a 2-1-1 formation with me on Cav, and PIMP and Gunstar winging because Van's ping was over the limit. From there we took an 8-3 lead and held on for the 12-4 victory. Kep

  • Cavitation 4-2
  • Kepi 3-1
  • PIMP 3-1
  • Gunstar 2-0

Match 9: BALLISTICS vs MiS, Sunday, December 6, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 3, MiS 12. Last season's champions prove to be another tough match during our iNET slump. Many of our starters seem to concentrate more on VIE league instead of iNET and don't show up for iNET games. We had a promising start but fell apart when repel supplies started to diminish. This is where MiS capitalized mainly with weasel boom and zoom attacks. Kep

  • drevok 3-3
  • Vandal 0-1
  • Ace-High 0-1
  • PIMP-25 0-2
  • AgentSteel 0-2
  • Mac Man 0-3

Match 8: BALLISTICS vs Elysium, Sunday, November 29, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 3, Elysium 12. Tough radar bombing team. Hard to get close and fight as we play aggressive style. I guess we need to adjust =) Log file corrupt for this match so individual scores were not recorded. Kep

Match 7: BALLISTICS vs (Kindred), Sunday, November 22, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 1, (Kindred) 12. Same story...2 starters lagged out, 1 sub lagged out, 1 starter ejected for high ping, people dying with repels since reps don't register the first time. Long live VIE!!! Kep

  • Ace-High 1-2
  • PIMP-25 0-1
  • Kepi 0-3
  • Shinryuu 0-3
  • Mac Man 0-3

Match 6: BALLISTICS vs EGO, Sunday, November 15th, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 0, EGO 12. Ummmm we stunk up the place. Our boys were half asleep. I guess I scheduled the game too early. They get to sleep until 9am and claim THAT is not enough sleep time?! Stop downloading porn at night and you will have a good nights rest for league games. hehehe. Kep

  • Cavitation 0-3
  • drevok 0-3
  • Shinryuu 0-3
  • PIMP-25 0-3

Match 5: BALLISTICS vs Requiem, Sunday, November 8th, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 3, Requiem 9. This match went like we expected, they sat back and radar bombed. We attempted a similar style and it worked fairly good, both for our first try and against a team such as this. We got the first kill, but shortly thereafter I died after being repelless for nearly 15 minutes. It escalated from there, with Cavitation dying twice, drevok dying once and me dying again in the space of several minutes. The first kill did not come till the match was halfway over. A fun match against a very good opponent, with lots of new tactics to try out next week. No log this week, as the refs stopped calling out kills, and ?kill was forgotten this match. Hopefully in the future iNET will be more organized when they have two ops and a ref present. Bort

  • Drevok 2-1
  • Pimp 1-2
  • Kepi 0-1
  • Bortas 0-2
  • Cavitation 0-3

Match 4: BALLISTICS vs Enterprize, Sunday, November 1st, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 12, Enterprize 6. A long awaited rematch (last was 12-0 in our favor), we still came out on top. Both sides were plagued with moderate lag troubles, resulting in 2 of 3 losses on AceHighs slot. A decently fought match, they didn't fall for our tactic. We overfired a little, as per our agressive style, next week we will fight a defensive match, just for practice :) Here is the log. Bort

  • Shinryuu 4-1
  • Drevok 3-1
  • Cavitation 1-0
  • Ace High 3-3
  • Kepi13 1-1

Match 3: BALLISTICS vs Torrent, Sunday, November 1st, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 11, Torrent 6. This was our forced replay, being fairly miffed, we still played ok with our tempers, amazingly enough, this time they were the laggers, maybe we should ask for a rematch... grrr :( Here is log. I subbed in for assists, but no kills again. The reason why both stats are up for this match (see below) is because for a replay win...the winning team will retain the original score from the first game that they played. Even though we won our forced rematch game 11-6, iNET will record it as an 11-1 win over Torrent. Bort

  • Drevok 4-1
  • Cavitation 3-1
  • Shinryuu 3-2
  • Ace High 1-2

Match 3: BALLISTICS vs Torrent, Sunday, October 25, 1998. Score: BALLISTICS 11, Torrent 1. This was an excellently fought match, we tried out a new tactic that worked well for us. Our only loss coming when ray got trapped, but we still got the better end of the deal with two kills to his single loss. Only a couple of lagouts for a change, which was nice. We did a little subbing, Caddy replaced Raygun, and Drevok replaced Cavitation after cav had to burn repels on a lagout. I have nothing negative to say about us, just a suggestion. When they all chase Cav, show them what a bomb in the ass feels like :) I got the log uncut, unedited, and very slanderous I am sure :) Hehehhe it shows how pissed I was at ref, it took him 5 full minutes to get first sub, and almost 3 for the second one... talk about repel advantage for other team... heheh but it worked out ok. This matched was forced to be replayed, the iNET operators couldn't make up their mind, stats for that are above. Bort

  • CAVITATION 6-0 (13-0 on the weekend, can you say on a streak??).
  • Vandal 3-0
  • Mac Man 1-0
  • Raygun88 1-1

Match 2: BALLISTICS vs Space Donkeys, Sunday, October 18, 1998. Score: 11-2, Space Donkeys. They ate us for dinner. Space pilots vs hungry space donkeys is not a pretty sight.

  • Ace High 2-2
  • Vandal 0-1
  • Bortas 0-2
  • Cavitation 0-3
  • Kepi 0-3

Match 1: BALlISTICS vs No Limit Soldiers, Saturday, October 17, 1998. Score: 12-2, No Limit Soldiers. Ya we lost, haven't you watched the movie "Soldier"?

  • Cavitation 2-3
  • Bortas 0-1
  • Drevok 0-2
  • Ace High 0-3
  • Pimp 25 0-3

No totals for this season, due to corrupt logs and replayed matches.
