    --> Back to Special Events

    Welcome to Bort's Weekly Wednesday Events (nice italics, huh?). Each Wednesday (8pm PST, in ?go bort in Chaos Expert) I will randomly select (well, not so randomly, it will be based upon the number of people that show each week) from amongst the events listed at top on the left. We probably won't end up doing just one event, probably several, as long people are interested and I stay interested. :) Feel free to email your ideas for special events, for potential placement on my agenda. Ok, now I will go through the basic rules that will follow on all the events, a code of conduct and a breif description of each event. Details and rules for each event can be found on the subpages at left. Unfortunatly, I will not be offering prizes out, especially since I am planning on having so many winners each week ;)

    Basic Rules: All events to be held will be standard chaos settings, nothing will be changed for the events. Lag will be handled by server. Cheats will on the same zero-tolerance policy as the rest of the zone. However, certain things may be done, such as greening ships to xxx bty, certain ships on certain freq's, but nothing that changes the servers settings. Most events will involve granting 100bty to all participants, the same 100 the server gives you, if you don't get three reps, better green as soon as the game starts. Pay attention to the green text from mods, and do what they ask. Refrain from sending private messages to the mods, they will attempt to answer all questions before each event starts. By all means, ask your question in public, the question and answer will benifit everyone else. You should read through all of the rules for the various events before you goto them, to have a better understanding of the game before it begins. While the mods are getting organized, wait in a safe zone, the fighting will start soon. Unfortunatly, if you lag to spec, or out of the arena, you will not be allowed to return, to lighten the load on the mods, and to maintain game continuity. The game will typically be locked, this means that ship changes and freq changes will not be allowed in most games. Also, most games will have random teams and private freqs will typically not be allowed. Its important to read the rules on all the various games, as many of the rules will be similar and/or based off of other words. Unless otherwise noted, all tactics (including: mine repeling, negging, parking in a safe etc.) will be allowed.

    Code of Conduct: Before the games begin, and in between rounds, I expect all players to park in a safe zone and wait. Greening is not acceptable. Fighting is not acceptable. Pissing me off is not acceptable. Violations will get you kicked to spec. My event, my rules. That said, you all know me, its not about being a hardass, its about trying to expidiate the game: play nice, and there won't be an issue. The more hassles the players cause, the longer it takes to get things organized, the less fun we all have. Thanks for going with me on this one. ;)
